Social Media Policy

Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s practice,  uses social networking sites to share general health education and information. We welcome you in posting and commenting online. We assume that by using our social media sites, however, you agree to the terms and conditions specified below. BY POSTING ON ANY OF DR. BARBARA PLUCKNETT’s SOCIAL MEDIA SITEs YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS. These social media sites include but are not limited to various sites such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs, multimedia or other user-generated content. By accessing, viewing and/or posting any content to any Practice Social Media Site on the internet, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the following terms of use. If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, you may not view or post any content to any of Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s Social Media Sites. Your use of Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s  Social Media Sites is acceptance of this Policy and has the same effect as if you had actually physically signed an agreement.

The practice staff monitors all social media posting during routine business hours. So you may see a delay in responding to a comment when we are not in the office.

Since this is a public page, please do not include any personal, medical or private (confidential) information in your posts or comments. If you have personal questions please call our office for assistance during business hours, Monday through Friday.

By submitting content (posts, comments, photos, etc.) to Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s  social media sites, you understand that this information is publicly available and that Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s practice may use this information in staff, family and external publications and other communications. If you do not wish to have your information published, please do not post the information on the internet.

You are prohibited from posting any content that could be construed as personal, patient or patients’ health information including patient names, health details or images on any of Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s Practice Social Media Sites. You are also prohibited from using Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s Social Media Sites to provide medical advice or medical commentary. Compliance with ALL HIPAA and PHI regulations is required at all times.

Dr. Barbara Plucknett reserves the right to monitor, prohibit, restrict, block, suspend, terminate, delete, or discontinue your access to any of her Practice Social Media Sites, at any time, without notice and for any reason and in its sole discretion. Dr. Plucknett may remove, delete, block, filter or restrict by any other means any materials in Dr. Barbara Plucknett’s sole discretion. You understand and agree that Dr. Plucknett may disclose your communications and activities with her practice in response to lawful requests by governmental authorities, including Patriot Act requests, judicial orders, warrants or subpoenas, or for the protection of Practice rights. You agree that in the event that Dr. Plucknett exercises any of its rights hereunder for any reason, Dr. Barbara Plucknett will have no liability to you.
